Abstract: How many times have you said “What in the world were they thinking?! He left 30% on the table on that bid yesterday!” Or “this change order is highway robbery!” Or, finally, “this claim is a waste of my time and has no merit. I guess we still have to respond to it though.”
How did the contractor get to those numbers on bid day? What caused the time delay being requested in the change order? What are these bogus methods being used in quantification of cost and/or time loss?
